Mr Howard has hired his son Tim's company, Net Harbour, to send emails to voters in the prime minister's blue ribbon Sydney seat of Bennelong.
Labor's technology spokeswoman Kate Lundy said the government's own laws, which came into effect four months ago, banned commercial spamming. "

Hello, my name is Tamara! As you can probably tell, I'm a Christian who loves Jesus and cares for all humans, even the wicked. What you probably don't know is that I'm hot. My picture below isn't really that good. I want to use my beauty for GOD, and want to encourage my sisters in Christ to do the same, according to the Great Commission. "Posted by Hello

Yesterday I decided to buy the ring I liked from Blue Chilli. This is the ring that my engagement ring was supposed to be modelled on. My reason for getting it? It's just a ring. It has no significance anymore. Funny thing was.. on the way home (not long after taking this photo) I saw Alasdair walking up towards O'Connell Street while I was on the bus. If I'd known that was going to happen I'd have been prepared and probably thrown the ring out the window at him. That would have been satisfying. :) Posted by Hello

20 Questions to a Better Personality
    Wackiness: 56/100
    Rationality: 36/100
    Constructiveness: 60/100
    Leadership: 68/100
You are a WECL--Wacky Emotional Constructive Leader. This makes you a People`s Advocate.
You are passionate about your causes, with a good heart and good endeavors. Your personal fire is contagious, and others wish they could be as dedicated to their beliefs as you are.
Your dedication may cause you to miss the boat on life's more slight and trivial activities. You will feel no loss when skipping some inane mixer, but it can be frustrating to others to whom such things are important. While you find it difficult to see other points of view, it may be useful to act as if you do, and play along once in a while.
In any event, you have buckets of charisma and a natural skill for making people open up. Your greatest asset is an ability to make progress while keeping the peace.
Of the 335 people who have taken this quiz since tracking began (8/17/2004), 6.8 % are this type.

404 has a history! Posted by Hello

But Benno had more to say on this:

    "Sounds like bullshit, Barry.

Most protocols that use three-digit response codes (SMTP, FTP, HTTP among others) tend to assign the first digit to a class of responses (in the case of HTTP, 1xx is informational, 2xx is successful, 3xx is a redirection, 4xx is a client error and 5xx is a server error, all of which can be found by looking at RFC 2616). So then they just start adding specific responses into those classes, so 400 is "Bad Request",
401 is "Unauthorized" (which is the response that causes your browser to pop up a login dialogue), 402 is "Payment Required", 403 is "Forbidden",
404 is "Not Found" and so on. It's all in the RFC. =)"

    Clubbing & Concerts
Last night I went to FAD with Mark and Tanya. We got way too drunk way too quickly and so we went to Gouger Street for a late dinner. I stumbled off to a taxi straight after dinner (like the piker I am). Some girl got in the taxi on my way home which was pretty weird. She didn't mind going to my house before she continued on her way.. she just wanted to get out of the rain. Got home to Damien watching Cirque Du Soleil. I was too pissed to really watch though. Then he pulled out Chicago and after I sang along (very badly) I decided it was time for bed.

Working today, then going to a FUCS committee meeting, then Dress rehearsal and concert. I will be so dead at the end of this.

    Personal Inventory

    1. What was the best year of your life? Why?
This year. I'm studying, working, partying. Most of the time has been good times with Alasdair, too.

    2. What type of foods do you like? Why?
Spicy stuff. It keeps my taste buds interested.

    3. If you had the choice of any job, in any organisation, what would it be? Why?
Event Manager in an Arts Organisation/Festival. Because I care about performance arts and I love organising stuff.

    4. What is your favourite song? Why?
I like too many songs. I refuse to choose.

    5. If you could live anywhere, where would it be? Why?
It'd look like Tasmania or somewhere tropical. It'd be warm. There would be a lot of people (so there was fun stuff to do). It's be civilised and have access to technology. Okay, Ive got it. It'd be Japan.

    6. If you were in charge of your company, what are some of the first changes you would make? Why?
I'd create a really functional online reference system. And I'd pay the staff more. Then I'd create a self-maintained online learning system and get team leaders to regulary check to see what competencies have been achieved, the point being to move people into areas of work where they obviously have an interest in already.

    7. What is your favourite book? Why?
This is a bit like the music, but I *can* choose. Hitchhikers Guide To the Galaxy - Douglas Adams

    8. If you could have dinner with any person, dead or alive, who would it be? Why?
Einstein. The man is pure genius. I'd love to listen to him prattle on about maths and physics.. and then challenge him to a game of twister (or something equally intellectual).

    9. What is your favourite movie? Why?
I said "Love Actually" a few days ago. I hope that was right. I change my mind a lot :)

    10. If you could be anywhere right now, where would it be? Why?
A nice sunny beach sounds good.

    11. What is your favourite television show? Why?
    Buffy. Buffy. Simpsons. Angel.

    12. What do you think about having to be here today?
I think I want to go home.

    13. If you could start a new company tomorrow, what would it do? Why?
    Events!! Festivals!! Arts performances!!

    14. What is your favourite colour? Why?
Green. The kind of green leaves go in sunlight.

    15. If you could have a free holiday anywhere in the world, where would you go? Why?
Probably to that nice tropical beach. But then I'd get bored and I'd want to do some historic/cultural stuff (Like Europe) and some more interesting stuff (like Asia).

I'm *that* close to a world trip, I tell you. The second I have enough money - I'm away.

Death of a Salesman was great! The play itself was well written. Basically a good look at how family expectations can be degenerative for all parties. (Okay, that wa a bit over-simplified). The cast of STC did a fantastic job. The set was excellent. I cried a lot. Bravo!

    Work is boring tonight

    I'm bored. It's quiet. Blergh.

I'm so bored that I can't even think of anything interesting to say to amuse myself. Ugh. I hate it when that happens.

I have a free ticket to see Death of a Salesman tonight by the State Theatre Company. I ended up having no friends that wanted to go with me - Tanya and Mark originally wanted to go but then didn't. Ali and Jason wanted to go but were already booked for tonight. Oscar and Tonja already saw it on Friday night. They said it was "Okay". So not a raving review then. Bah. It's free and I've wanted to see it ever since the Buffy episode where it got a mention (I can't believe I've forgotten the name of the episode - It's one of the best). (Oooh - I've remembered it now - Restless!).

Bored Bored. I want to go home and play with my new to (the MD-Man). I want to record some stuff and play..

Friday the 13th tomorrow!! Spooky! I might have to wear my Emily (the strange) shirt and stripey socks.

I have yesterday's paper to read. It's the Advertiser. I wonder how many nice adverts it has in it.

Well, I read the newspaper. It was really dull. The comics were okay. There was an ad which shat me because it said "Wholistic". I hate it when people write that. It's like they have no idea that the word "holistic" exists and they're trying to make up a word to fit their needs. That or they just can't spell. Or they've seen it wrong so many times they think it's right.

The time just isn't passing. I have 6 minutes to go. Those minutes are going to be very long. When 8pm comes I am going to have to bolt around changing back into civvies, washing up etc and riding to the Festival Theatre. The play starts at 8pm so I'm going to miss a bit. *grumble*

    I want to leave!!!!!

    *tick* *tick* *tick*

This is killing me (as you might have noticed).

Ooh. 7:59pm by the other clock. Going now!

Okay, so I'm a complete nutter. :) Who didn't know that already?

Alice just got a chain letter. It had a 5c piece in the top right hand side and asked you to send $10 to the person at the top of the list (blah blah blah). It was such a scam. It got me to telling her about the Save Karyn website. She'd never heard of it before. I got to thinking about how I could possibly convince people to give me money. I probably can't. We joked about setting up a Paypal donation thing on my site. And then I just decided to do it. Here's a thought: If people give me money I can spend more time at home blogging. And I probably won't be so whiney either. Win Win situation for myself and the readers.. of which I'm sure there are at least 2.

I also recalled a conversation I had with Garth about Kynan. Kynan used to walk up to the bar and say "What are you going to buy me?". Garth figured that the attitude was right - and bought him the beer. (And face it - look where that attitude has got Kynan?!?!)

So here is my attitude: How much money are you going to give me?

Also, if you feel like buying me a beer and can't - this is the perfect way to shout me. :)

Strange Articles I Read Over Lunch
At lunch I went to McDonalds (Yuk! Yes, I'm sorry) and read the Financial Review. The FIN shone for having much more interesting articles to read in it than The Advertiser or The Australian. Yay the FIN.

There was an article about the decline of Free-To-Air TV viewers in the 16-25 and 25-35 age brackets. They were discussing the possible reasons for it.. some people have been blaming DVD and Internet usage, some people have blamed other irrelevant things.. but one smart person has noticed the real issue: The TV programs suck. I think the only programs I have been remotely interested in watching in the past 10 years has been The Simpsons, Buffy, Angel, Futurama, 24 and the occasional documentary or movie. And 24 changed timeslots so often I missed too many episodes to keep watching. Bugger them. I'll get it on DVD and watch it when I want to.

Then I came back to ACCU and perused the Magazines. Most of them I've read several times over.. except FHM. So I read FHM. People looked at me weirdly, but so what? Either way, there was a lot of articles on how to pick up girls, what schools you can send your girlfriend to so she can learn how to strip tease properly, how to make a model plane, how to have anal sex without your girlfriend punching you and an article on decomposing bodies in the pursuit of good fertiliser. It even had photos. They were really fascinating.
