What did I do with my Weekend?
Friday night - Dinner at Mekong Thai followed by cocktails at the Isobar. Mel and I instigated the night out.. sometimes we were also joined by Alasdair, Ben and Tanya.

Saturday - Breakfast at Urban Bistro with Alasdair, Ben and Mel. Alasdair got a Flat Panel Monitor. Fish out of Water for a late lunch. Went to Adrian's Ceroc (Modern Jive) class. Bit of Vegging. Went to Oscar's 25th Party (A Cocktail Party). Party hopped to Alice's going away party, then back to Oscars. Slept at Oscars.

Sunday - Drove home from Oscars during ANZAC Day Dawn services. Slept. Slept some more. Told Ben and Mel that I'd prefer to go for a ride on Monday as I was still asleep. Slept more. Went to The Archer to discuss AIV Constitution stuff. Came home.. Went to Stirlig for diner with Tanya and Sarah. Stayed at Tanya's the night. Watched "Love Actually" and "Cry Baby". So Girly.

Monday - Drove home from Tanya's. Breakfast at Paradiso with Alasdair and Michael. Caught the train to Belair with Mel and Ben and 3 bikes. Rode around Belair. Found that when something says "Walking Trail" you shouldn't take your bike (unless you can lift it over your head and carry it up stairs). Also, if the sign says "Fire Trail" it means only Flying Fire Trucks can drive on it as the road is really just a big pile of rocks. Had a BBQ at Belair. Zoomed down Belair road. Had coffee at Ben's mum's house. Eventually got home. Did boring stuff like scanning our receipts and manuals for larger purchases (for insurance purposes). Had pizza for dinner. Went past Margit's house to get stuff we'd left at Oscar's house. Showed Adrian the Morris hall (possible Ceroc Venue). Went to Morris. Came home and finished the scanning. Did washing. Splatted.

Now I have to get my butt to work. :)

    Ceroc

Adrian has started up a Modern Jive group on Saturday afternoons. It has to be called modern Jive because another person owns the naming rights to Ceroc in Australia. Essentially this is what it is, though.

    Film Threat - Reviews
Film Threat - Reviews: "Spurlock decided to conduct an experiment in which he would subject himself to a diet of nothing but McDonalds fast food for a month. He only allowed himself to eat what was available over the counter at the restaurant (including water), he couldnt super size unless asked (he ended up being asked 9 times all told), he had to eat every item on the McDonalds menu at least once, and he had to eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day. Throughout his descent into the maelstrom of crappy food, he visited doctors and health professionals to track his decline in health. "

    the friday five
    the friday five:

    1. What do you do for a living?

I make money by working in a call centre for a financial institution.

    2. What do you like most about your job?

It's easy and when I leave I don't have to think about work. There's always someone else who can do my job. Between calls I can stare out the window or talk to other team members.

    3. What do you like least about your job?

Dickhead customers that yell at you when it's not your fault.

    4. When you have a bad day at work it's usually because _____...

Every customer had big problems and made my stats look bad.

    5. What other career(s) are you interested in?

I'm studying Event Management at TAFE. I want to run Arts Festivals, mainly. I have a few business ideas and I really love music - so they are two side option careers.. Also I'm pretty science minded and kind of geeky so I'd like to study more Science and IT and perhaps work in those fields. Sometimes I also think of Nutrition/Dietitian and fitness instructor too. I'm torn between having a job that I like for the moment and a career I can love for my life. But that will always be the way, so I'll probably always be studying something new :)

    I am so stuffed
I am going to have to keep my palm charging by the bed as I will get no sleep ever again if I don't. I can't stop my mind from coming up with ideas. They have to be written down. I suppose I could do the pen thing but when a palm is available it's great to get it straight into there.

So many ideas for IV, FUCS, TAFE, Folk Federation, Work, Bells, Morris etc.

So easy to keep track of.. yet so hard to sleep through. *sigh*

Wireless Week - Making Money From Moblogging
Wireless Week - Making Money From Moblogging: "Then there is blog veteran Blogger, a subsidiary of Google Inc., that offers Web-based publishing tools users can tap to create their own online diaries. It also runs a free BlogSpot hosting service for user Web pages and Audioblogger.com, a pay service that allows users to post MP3 messages to blog pages.
With the rise of camera phones and digital cameras, Blogger also added tools to make it easier to post photos, according to Jason Shellen, associate program manager at Google.
'Blogger's all about push-button publishing,' he says. 'So we are definitely interested. For a long time I have been a fan of logs that contain photos. I think it really adds something to blogs when there is something to look at, particularly from an interesting event.'
Blogger works with Sprint PCS to create an easy-to-use moblogging service that is now in beta testing, 'and we have actually done some testing with other wireless carriers,' Shellen says. 'We're looking to strengthen some partnerships there before we make any announcements, but we're definitely looking to provide Blogger any place, any time.'"

So hurry up and do it already!! I have the camera.. I have the blog. Let me at it!! If only I'd started a blog earlier and got a blogger pro account then.. I'd be set. But no. I have to wait. Grr. Jason Shellen gets to play because he works for Google. :(
shellen.com ::: are you my friend? yes - no "I am Jason Shellen, employee of Google, the new owners of Blogger, Blog*Spot and bStats! It's all about the [b]."

After Breakfast at ETC, Mel, Ben and I decided to ride up the Linear Park track to TTP. We passed the TTP sign and kept going up the track near the river. Then we went all the way back down the track to the beach.. By then Mel was about to kill us for making her ride so far so we all caught the train back into town :)

    At AUCS Camp
Back in rehearsal now. Went to Victor with the boy for lunch. Pizza and chinotto. Beautiful day. It's all good. I'm pretty tired, though. Could use some sleep rather than sitting in this rehearsal. Oh well, I chose this hobby. Sometimes you have to put up with the shit stuff so you can have to good stuff. Oh how profound. The rehearsal room at St Luke's has a view over boomer beach and it is gorgeous today. I think I'll have to run down there after rehearsal for a swim. Hmm... Just like last Saturday at FUCS camp where we bolted to the beach as soon as we stopped singing.
I reallly should be doing homework while I sit here but this is more fun. I learned how to play "go" this morning. One of those games I really should have learned years ago but never did. It rocks. This is Damien Day's influence. Last camp I learned "Nine Men's Morris" which was also a cool game. Pity I'll only ever get the chance to play these games with Damien. And he's better at them then me. :)

    At AUCS Camp
At AUCS camp during rehearsal I've decided to use the palm keyboard for good instead of evil. I'ts a bit hard to balance on my lap and I keep being told to sing. I should take a sound clip of the choir during camp and put it on the blog too. That'd be cool. Either way I decided to do this because Alasdair read my blog and pointed out that I really don't get around to dribbling shit enough and it's mainly interesting links. Well we can blame google for making it easy for me to add links. I tried to set up blogmail for palm but when blogger doesn't let you email in your blog it doesn't help a lot. So cut and paste it is. Well it's about to be lunchtime. I should go line up for fud. Really, there should be a lot more dribble, photos and sound on my blog. But face it, the times when i have enough time to blog is rarely when I am at home. And when I'm at home bored is also not when I've got anything interesting to write about. Lunch now. (lots of people are telling me I am a dickhead geek for using a palm keyboard at a choir camp)

They forget to note that some people use file sharing to see if they like the music. When they've tried the music they then go and buy it. Either way this is a very interesting article about ARIA pretending they are having a tough time because of file sharing.
