    Disturbing mix of music

I've been listening to the strangest mix of music on my way to work this morning. I think it's Ben's fault I have this strange mix.. which is cool because it's his birthday! Happy birthday Ben!

"And then my shoes started to squeak"
"I give you my number. When you're down, you call me - I'll make you happy"
"I believe it's meant to be, darling. I watch you when you are sleeping. Do you understand?"
    "Pissing the night away"
"It's all relative to the size of the steeple"
"What we have here is a total lack of respect for the law"
"Tie your own rope! Tie your own rope! Tie your own.."
    "Oh Yeah! Beautiful!"
"And Webster... yeah we'd hang a little cause he's the antichrist"
"You say to me I don't talk enough and when I do I'm a fool"
"Choice is yours - Don't be late"
"I am not always yours and you are not always mine. It's alright to fall apart sometime"

The Australian: Patience pays . . . for art's sake [September 27, 2004]: "Tim Dunstone was typical of the closing weekend audience. A Port Power supporter, the 23-year-old from Adelaide was in Melbourne for the AFL grand final and decided to see the exhibition while in town. "

spacefem.com - What color are you?
    you are yellow
    #FFFF00

Your dominant hues are red and green, so you're definately not afraid to get in and stir things up. You have no time for most people's concerns, you'd rather analyze with your head than be held back by some random "gut feeling".

Your saturation level is very high - you are all about getting things done. The world may think you work too hard but you have a lot to show for it, and it keeps you going. You shouldn't be afraid to lead people, because if you're doing it, it'll be done right.

Your outlook on life is very bright. You are sunny and optimistic about life and others find it very encouraging, but remember to tone it down if you sense irritation.

The Yellow Wallpaper, by Charlotte Perkins Gilman
The Yellow Wallpaper, by Charlotte Perkins Gilman

I was talking to Sean and describing my wallpaper in great detail (even offering to send him a photo) and he was reminded of this short story. Now that I've read it I can see myself descending into Requiem-for-a-dream-esque madness caused by my wallpaper. I have great intentions of blogging all of the wallpapers in my house. They are all very surreal and none of them match the carpet they reside next to.

    Weird Thoughts

Today should have been great - since I had the morning off and it was sunny. Well, it wasn't. Our new ADSL connection was working when I got up (which was great) but it just meant that I was sitting on MSN when Alasdair got online and decided to have a go at me. Apparently I am the most evil person in the world. By the end of that conversation normal people may have agreed with him.. I wasn't especially nice - but it's not as if I deserve that shit from him. It's true that I don't care about his feelings. I don't believe I have actually done anything that could have hurt his precious feelings, but I don't feel like he ever had much consideration for mine so I refuse to care about his. (Dammit!)

    Stingcity Games
Stingcity Games: "Five Hundred is a four player card game, similar to Euchre, Bridge and Whist. Play against computer opponents or other human players across the network."

This Online 500 is actually far better.

I am so impressed. I thought scrabble would make me happy forever. This is possibly going to be even better - I can't decide.

    Slashdot Poll
Slashdot Poll: "Barbarella, Queen of the Galaxy 2647 / 7%
    Princess Leia 5626 / 14%
    Ellen Ripley 6180 / 16%
    Trinity 5775 / 15%
    Sarah Connor 3238 / 8%
    Tank Girl 2908 / 7%
    Princess Vespa 3128 / 8%
    Leeloo 8053 / 21% "

I ended up voting for Tank Girl, but it was a tough call between Tank Girl, Leeloo and Trinity.
