Feeling great!
Last night's games got very silly. Usually, it's a Scrabble night but
last night we played Enchanted Forest, Archimedes and Boggle. It was
very silly and I drank too much red and had a fantastic time. I slept
pretty badly and was totally expecting a hangover today that I just
don't have. Yay!
This morning I got my head x-rayed to see if my braces really are ready
to come off. One little tooth wasn't completely perfect so they
violently ripped off the bracket and moved it. Ow! Ow! Ow! And
apparently that's how they all get removed too. If it's going to hurt
that much, just leave the damn braces on. Ow! Lots of panadol and sloppy
food for me. Nice. D-Day Sept 18th. Still kind of looking forward to it.
(?!??!?!)
But the weather is gorgeous today and it was beautiful scootering around
Kensington and Norwood which put me in a great mood. And then I got to
work to find that our bulk perfume order had come in.. So now I smell
pretty. Tommy Girl is yum!
So, yeah I wish I wasn't at work today because it's just amazing
outside. But somehow I'm in a great mood anyway. Bring on Summer!

No power!
Cool! I got to work and there was no power. So, we all trundled over to the nearest cafe where the poor buggers had to try to make over 100 coffees at once. Nice change!

If - Rudyard Kipling
If
If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you
But make allowance for their doubting too,
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:
If you can dream--and not make dreams your master,
If you can think--and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools:
If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it all on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breath a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on!"
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with kings--nor lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you;
If all men count with you, but none too much,
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And--which is more--you'll be a Man, my son!

LONG weekend
Well, the weekend went pretty well. Tiring, but good.
On Saturday I finished my Rider Safe Stage 1 - which means that as soon
as I pay a bit more money I have my L's for motorbike. Yay!
I was going to move some stuff Saturday afternoon, but I just could not
be bothered. So Bruce, James and I watched "Love Actually" instead. Then
we went out to Boho for dinner and drinks with Mark, Tanya, Rachael,
Damien and Ben. Nice night, but we were stuffed and went home pretty
early. Slackers!
On Sunday Bruce and I woke up super early and watched Invader Zim in bed
for a while. Yay! Cartoons in bed in the morning!! We spent the rest of
the day quoting Grr. "Oh. My bees", "Makes room for the cupcake!", "I'm
making the cake!" "I'm going to sing the doom song now: Doom doomy doom
dee doom" :)
Then we went for breakfast on the balcony on the Scenic Hotel before
heading off to do lots of moving. Most of my stuff is now moved into
Matt's house.. Just a bit to go. That and I have to find my cat. She was
last seen hiding in the fireplace. Damn!
Our night finished with cheap chinese and beer followed by a big *splat*
quite early.

And a bit more change..
So, I'm moving to Matt's house in the city now! I got my keys today and
I'll be moving stuff over the next week.
I'm excited but I'm so sick of moving. I get tired just thinking about
it. Good thing I've been culling my stuff with every move. :)
And on another cool note: I'm learning how to ride a motorbike. I had
the first part of ridersafe on Saturday and this Saturday I'll do the
second part (of getting my L's). Hopefully, I will suck just a little
less than last week and will be allowed to ride on the road after that.
*grins*
Also, I had a scary bit of inspiration the other day and decided I
should do the city to bay fun run http://www.city-bay.org.au/. I've
never done it before and I'm sure I will go through hell working out how
to run that far. But whatever. Got to try these things.
