Thoughts on Cornershop Amardeep Singh Hybridity Punjabi Sikh
Thoughts on Cornershop Amardeep Singh Hybridity Punjabi Sikh: "'Norwegian Lakri': Thoughts on Cornershop
'She's the one that keeps the dream alive' --Cornershop 'Brimful of Asha'
'IBM ta Coca Cola, muther fucker, Lak laam' --Cornershop, 'We're in Yr Corner'"
I heard the Punjabi version of "Norwegian wood" the other day and it was cool! I've only just realised that the "cornershop" that sang it is in fact the same "Cornershop" that sang "Brim full of Asha". Cool! Bring on the cornershop. More Cornershop. Plenty of cornershop I'll tell you when to stop.

I really want this course to be over now...
I am hoping like hell that I cna get RPL for all the subjects I think I can next semester.. cause that will mean that I am basically finished! One or two short subjects left - one that I can do externally anyway.
I'm at home tonight doing assignements. One down.. about 8 to go :(

Hehe - get this. I just got sent a fax from a guy called "Terry Towell". His parents are EVIL. :) Obviously he has a sense of humour too - or he would call himself Terence.

PCP last night was great!
The post concert party was great! I crawled into bed as the last people left the party at about 3:30am. Bloody excellent party. :) The house is now trashed with bottles and I think we have 10 people all up asleep somewhere in the house.

Sillies from: I used to believe
More from
I used to believeWhen I was young my father told me that it was his job to pull the MGM Lion's tail and make him roar. I believed that for years and even bragged to my friends about it.

When I was little, I heard some kind of commercial that mentioned a "menstrual cycle". I got very excited because I thought it was some kind of bicycle. First you ride a tricycle, then training wheels, then a two wheeler, then a menstrual cycle. I soon learned the truth when I asked my dad for a "menstrual cycle" for my birthday at age 9.

Listening to ABC Classic FM
Simon Singh was on this morning and said some really interesting stuff about numbers. I wouldn't mind having a read of some of his books.
1729 is the smallers number that is the sum of two cubes in two different ways.
26 is the only number that sits directly between a square and a cube.
And his favourite insult is "Spherical bastard", since sphere's look the same no matter how you look at them.. therefore a spherical bastard is someone who is a bastard no matter how you look at them. :)

More on procrastination
So my previous post didn't get me off my ass. I still felt the need to look at
Karen Cheng's site in some more detail and drool a bit more at the layout. I had a great time listening to a presentation from
Jaba the other day because I was interested in the web design. I love(d) wasting time on the
fucs website - The fucs site is now in a redevelopment phase as I hand over - The old old site (which I didn't do)is back up. The one I handed over (currently
here)will be up again soon.
I sometimes feel arty. I did graphic design for a while at high school. My hand drawing is shocking, but I have a good eye. I wish I was more arty. I definitely have the geeky side of web design. Well, I love working on web design. Fuck. Am I doing the wrong course? Should I be doing a graphic design course? Learning flash? Maybe I can combine my skills and do web design for events. That'd be cool.
Oh shit I'm still procrastinating.

I am procrastinating badly
Just look at how many stupid sites I have blogged today. I am seriously procrastinating. It's raining outside and I just can't bring myself to think about eating, showering, homework or IV stuff. I have to work 11:30-8pm. As soon as I get there I will start stressing about all the things I was supposed to do this morning that I am failing to do now. *sigh* I think it's temporary overload. I just have too much to think about so I'm not thinking about any of it.
I think I'm also sick of being poor. I still have to think like a student and live cheaply while I study, but I work too and I wish that meant I had some spare money!
But then If I don't get off my ass and do my assignments then I'll be a poor student for much longer. :(
Not that it's the "student" part that is bad. I think I'll probably be a student forever. But I want to be qualified and earn money as such cause I'm sick of this minimum wage crap.

Drawing Pigs
You drew the pig:
Toward the top of the paper, you are positive and optimistic.
Facing left, you believe in tradition, are friendly, and remember dates (birthdays, etc.)
With few details, you are emotional and naive, they care little for details and are a risk-taker.
With 4 legs showing, they are secure, stubborn, and stick to their ideals.
The size of the ears indicates how good a listener you are.
The bigger the better. You drew large ears, you are a great listener!
The length of the tail indicates the quality of your sex life.
And again more is better! You drew large tail, WOW!
