"Raymond Cassar's property had an order in 2003 requiring him to provide shower tap handles and light globes, install bedroom doors and provide keys for the external door, and remove old cars from beside the house."
Now, I can't recall who was who.. but I think from memory it was Frank (not Raymond) who was Nat and Benno's landlord.
When I stayed there all the tenants where upset with him for various things. The main thing was that there were old cars left in the driveway which Frank had promised to move asap when they moved in. This was six months into the lease and the cars were still in the driveway.
Frank turned up unannounced the morning after a big party and went nuts because his car was parked in by Benno's car. Benno was away and no-one else had the key to his car. Frank thought they were just being assholes and nearly smashed Benno's car window so he could move the car. He then went nuts about the state of the house. The tenants pointed out he had to give two weeks notice before he could turn up. So he scribbled a note of notice on the back of something.
Nat and I visited the tenancy tribunal that day to find another group of people complaining about the same landlord. Yikes!
And following Benno's lead I am also going to give google some fodder: Frank Cassar may be Melbourne's worst landlord
