    Red Beef Phad Phed

I love Red Beef Phad Phed!! Yum.

I got it from Baan Thai on Magill Rd and LOVED it. I'm going to learn
how to make it the same way, dammit!

Hrm. When I search online for recipes it seems that most people put lots
of coconut milk in theirs.. Which is nothing like the one I had. The
Baan Thai one had a small amount of broth around it. And it seemed like
the meat had been sliced very thinly and cooked in liquid. The only
common thread seems to be that it's red and has fish sauce, capsicum,
garlic, lemongrass, chilli and lots and lots of sweet basil in it. The
one I had also had onion and lots of kaffir lime leaves.

    Hiho,
I found out, that most local chefs of the heavenly delicious Thai dishes use MSG extensively. Been living now for more than 7 months in Phuket and it's slowly starting to poison me.

The better options is - of course - to cook yourself and avoid artificial flavours and poisons. ;-)

    Cheers
    Chris
